CHAPTER 2, ESSAY 9 – Mirror Image of God

Never was it so clear.  Not since “Eden” has Eternal Life been so visible.  God didn’t need to explain to man that he should choose to eat from the “Tree of Life” if he wanted to live eternally.  That knowledge was there in his Super C.  Man’s spirit knows it is eternal and does not want death.

God did not need to tell man he must choose not to eat of the “Tree of Good and Evil”, for all the sensuous and savoring tastes and desires were built into his body.  His

Sub C stored all pleasant memories and experiences in itself, so his Conscious self could value them, and repeat them or use them for growth as his Conscious self chose.

Reason, an attribute of the C of Man, acts upon all newly stored knowledge in his sub C.  If there is pain, unhappiness or displeasure associated with these occurrences, the way a man uses his reason to make choices and process decisions are recorded in his Sub C.  All this is stored and used in the future for additional decisions.  In this way the Sub C guides and protects the individual from unpleasantness and directs him to what he has decided is pleasurable.

The Sub C of a man is totally dependent on the urges of the C self and the results of those urges and the choices made accordingly.  For this, man was given Reason to judge his own actions and to act for his ultimate good.  The knowledge of his ultimate good is always present in his Super C and unless he deliberately ignores it, he feels its impelling.  Some people call this “Conscience”.

We started out talking about the symbolic Trees at the beginning of man’s existence.  This leads to the make-up of man’s psyche.  We know the evolution that led to man’s perfected animal body.  When God had the body He wanted for his crowning achievement, He went to work on man’s psyche.  This creature was to be immortal.  God had plans for this animal to carry a spirit like His own that would not pass away at the end of time, but return unto God.  God did not want just any old “yes-man animal” or another spirit created to serve Him; He wanted a being that would love and appreciate Him for who and what He really was; and knowingly choose to go be with Him into eternity.  His plan made it simple, but not easy.  Each individual man had to choose for himself, overcoming his own sensual bodily desires and ego.  Each man was given all the necessary equipment in his three states of consciousness.

God approached Mankind with many helps and plans.  There were fables and myths, analogies, prophets, miracles and no end of tactics to direct men to God.  There was the wonderful plan of “The Christ”.  As time progressed, man did also and so did God’s plan. As in Ezekiel’s day, God needed to again breathe the spirit into men that had become as numb as dry bones.  As once he breathed His spirit into first mankind, He needed to again breathe that spirit into man and He did so with Christ.  But man is dead and befuddled again; he is distorted with his own opulence.  This spirit that God originally breathed into us to give us our immortality is in need of progression.

God created Time and with it many good and pleasurable things.  At the same time that these wonderful things were created, was an “absence” of these things created.  There was an automatic Negative created for every Positive creation.

God created man in his own image.  God wants his image in man, the Super C of man, to return to him in Eternity.  It will bring with it that man’s essence in his personal soul; all that is positive.  The negative will be left behind.

In “Time”, God too has a mirror image.  To His “good” construction there is the reverse destruction that we call “evil”.  This only occurs in Time which is made up of “things”.  In the spirit world of eternity, there can be no evil.  Satan is the name that we men have given this reverse image of God, or “the earth god”.  To every positive act of God there is a similar negative act of equal power.  Mankind is the battle ground as Satan tries to lure men to perdition.

Satan is the “Great Counterfeiter”.  In his attempt to waylay man, he copies God’s ways and tries to influence men with faulty reasoning to make the wrong choice.  He encourages Growth experience in the wrong directions.  Man would have a disastrous time in life if it weren’t for God’s help.  Inside each man is stored a Super C that Satan cannot touch.  This gives man the edge over Satan.  Like the Mirror image of God that he reflects, he is also a spirit with wants and needs and desires; all focused on tempting man away from God.

When “Time” runs out, so does his existence.  Satan and his misled souls will be left without a world; lost in agonizing nothingness.  Once a man has knowingly chosen to reject the existence of God’s spirit working within him, he is damned.  By his own personal “Reason”, he has used his personal power of “Choice” to shut out his immortal spirit and it returns to God, rejected by that foolish man.
