CHAPTER 1, ESSAY 5 – Dreams

Often Satan uses man’s waking insecurities against him by bringing them up in dreams. He uses symbols that have emotional impact on him. Man’s Sub C is available to Satan when man sleeps just as his C is available when man is awake. Satan can use the stored knowledge of man’s Sub C against him to create fear and unrest, which are some of Satan’s most potent tools.

The unconscious remains the same whether a man is awake or asleep. When awake, the normal C state of man guards against hallucinations and other governable expeditions of the Sub C. When asleep, that guard is absent.

The Sub C is neutral, neither good nor evil, just a tool to be used according to God’s plan. It is used in the dream state to discharge built-up tensions, frustrations, and other excitements gleaned from daily living.

It is also possible for the other part of man’s unconscious to use the symbols built up and stored in the Sub C. All spiritual information acquired by that man is also stored there as knowledge. It is possible for a man’s Super C to reach him in the dream state. When this occurs it can easily be recognized by the accompanying feelings which always are connected with God. These dreams bring great joy, elation, ecstasy, fulfillment, and satisfaction. God may be trying to impart something to you in this dream, just as Satan tries to get to you in a disturbing Sub C dream.

Opposite to the pleasurable or neutral dream, there is the dream that leaves one with the emotions of fear, depression, and antagonism. These dreams come from Satan, and use his destructive emotions. When man leaves the door to Satan open with unwise actions, thoughts, aggressive behavior or anger in his waking state, Satan has entered into him through his C state and is entrenched in his Sub C memories. The C is no longer available to direct man away from unpleasantness while he is sleeping. He must endure unless his C is strong enough to awaken him.

These dreams are a release of the built-up Sub C pressures that need to be released. It may take repeated episodes to release or nullify this Sub C tension. As long as the anger or frustration in a man continues, this dream or a variation of it will continue. The same dream may show up using different symbols to express itself. The dream can be recognized by the feelings it leaves behind.

Man’s Sub C has a whole past life time to store symbols along with their adjoining emotions to use in dreams. Dreams are a necessary part of your mental files. It doesn’t make a difference if you remember a dream or not. They do the duty that they were programmed to do. Any emotion left from a dream is a key for the C to consider. Man can build a more perfect life using these emotional clues to discover where he has fallen short in his every day actions and how he may change.

Satan cannot really hurt man through his dreams. It is just another way that Satan can attack man. Just as he does in your waking hours, he jabs at man with pricks of many unpleasant emotions; darts of anger, deflated ego, discontent, or wherever man is the most vulnerable. The more that man lets Satan in during his waking hours, the more Satan will return at night in different forms to torture that man later on. The Sub C wants to release this pressure from itself, and is telling man in the only way that it can.
