CHAPTER 2, ESSAY 6 – Ecstasy

“In the beginning was the Word….and the Word was God.” John 1:1

The Word was originally instigated by an unselfish energy Force while creating a domain for His spirit-man. The Word was important for the directing of His energies toward creating in “time”. It was made out of Himself, a part of His energy. It was the beginning of creation. He also knew that He would need to have an intermediary for communication to all Mankind. Without the knowledge that this Word would give them, mankind would be at a loss as to what to do here on earth. Why was Man here and where was he destined to go after he quit the world? This God-Force wants this energy returned to Him in love, even as He gave it from Himself in love. Among other things the Word expresses this.

When man breathed in his first breath, he ingested the energy of God. With this came a need for spiritual fulfillment. His inherent Consciousness was born. The Super C of man carries within it the energy of God. With it, we can return to our Lord some of the molten energy He builds there. We can do this with praise and thanksgiving welling up from our heart; we can do it by prayer, glorifying Him, or by transferring the religious excitement that rises up in us to others who in turn express joy to Him. Everyone has their own way of returning that energy He has bestowed upon us back to Him. From the shy, thank you to the exuberant hands held up speaking/singing in tongues. The sincere expression can take many forms that not everyone can understand. There is the whirling Dervish, the drinking of poisons, snake handling, piercing of self, falling to the floor; many things we deem foolish; but do not judge what a man is feeling inside of himself. If he is sincere in his feeling of adoration of God, he is releasing energy back to God in any way that he can. His prayer, thanksgiving and awe just take a different form than ours.

Of course, Satan is always ready to step in and abort what is good into something which is counterfeit. What started out as serving God, with some men can end up as self-serving. The evil energies contained in anger, sex drives, violence, and other frustrations can be misinterpreted, and Satan demands his worship with these unholy energies. Always in competition with God, Satan tempts us with the satisfaction of this pseudo-worship.

This release of men’s destructive energies into the world is passed on to other men and builds in power as it passes from man to man with anger, sex, violence and more negative energies magnified. This energy directed away from God accumulates in men or nations and we have murders and war.

The energy of God wells up in mankind waiting to be released. God directs so much to us that we groan with the urge to return it. Self-indulgence such as over eating, over drinking, tensions, angers, sedation, can clog the free outpouring of spirit. If the body is working too hard assimilating substances and emotions to expel its energies freely, perhaps a little Transcendental Meditation is in order to commune with the Super C and feel the tranquility and rebirth of energies. As worship, admiration and awe of God builds, we relax into warmth and love; directing praise, glory, appreciation and prayer to a perfect God. This perfect love excites us to a point of ecstasy! We return this overpowering emotion of love to Him. The energy gushes out from us. We feel well-loved and touched with His blessing.

In a return of his energy back to God, there are many degrees of expression men may use, from a mild recognition of His existence, to enjoying high ecstasy with God. There is no pleasure higher in all creation than that Ecstasy.
